Sales Executive
We are looking for an experienced and well-connected Digital Advertising Account Associate to evangelize our native advertising offering to media buying agencies. You have learned the art of creating and maintaining relationships with key agency contacts, and is seen by those agency contacts as a trusted partner. You may have built up these relationships as an account manager or working on a marketing team, but you’ve seen the sales side of advertising and you want to be part of it. This is a role designed for an eager professional with agency contacts who wants to jump to the sales side.

  • Drive sales and generate revenue for News360’s promoted content and native advertising offerings;
  • Provide guidance and knowledge to targeted agencies on the dynamics, trends, opportunities, and results of content promotion in a native format;
  • Grow and maintain agency relationships at all levels.

Desired Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of proven experience in an account management or marketing role; mobile experience is a plus and experience with native advertising campaigns is a bigger plus;
  • Thorough understanding of agencies and the digital advertising/marketing ecosystem;
  • Passionate about digital media and new technologies;
  • Ability to collaborate with others while maintaining substantial relationships with colleagues and clients alike;

Publisher Relations Manager
As News360’s Promoted Content platform grows and we prepare to rollout groundbreaking new products in the space, we are looking for someone to start building relationships with our publisher partners.

  • Identify and reach out to potential partners in the news publishing space;
  • Drive adoption of News360 products through events, calls, in-person demos and any other means necessary;
  • Support implementation of News360 products with publishers - educate, evangelize and guide them through the implementation process;
  • Work closely with the Sales team and with the Product team to improve our offerings and route partner feedback into product development;

Software Developer (C#, .NET, MS SQL, WCF)
We are looking for an experienced C# developer, who will create and support business-critical services on C#/.NET for Windows Server 2012 platform. Candidates should have hands-on experience analyzing large amounts of data and writing efficient, highload-compatible code. Knowledge of and ability to work with text mining or machine learning algorithms and any kind of natural language processing is also a must.

Main Responsibilities
  • Writing production ready C# code, which is easy to deploy and support, covered by tests and documentation, easy to integrate with other services;
  • Writing effective data manage/store algorithms;
  • Analyzing and optimizing whole system performance, being proactive in analyzing infrastructure;
  • Working with other developers to launch and deploy new services, being product-oriented and understanding that the ultimate goal is to produce a great product;
  • In case of service failure or loss of functionality helping the Operations team in restoring services, locating the problem and preventing failures in the future.

  • 5+years of experience in C#/.NET (C++ experience is also considered);
  • Understanding the principles of CLR execution, CLR memory allocation and management;
  • Debugging and profiling services, finding bottlenecks, optimization of memory consumption as well as CPU and other resources;
  • Experience writing multithreaded applications, good knowledge of concurrency/consistency mechanisms. Usage of IPC and shared resources;
  • Knowledge of WCF and TCP/IP stack protocols;
  • Experience with Transact-SQL, both with queries and stored procedures and triggers. SQL query optimization on large databases;
  • Experience building multi-tier systems, asynchronous service communications, stable and fast scalable distributed systems, persistent memory storage and other such basic architecture components;
  • Understanding TDD/DDD approaches. Creating unit as well as complex functional tests of whole services;
  • Strong CS/mathematical background: optimization theory, probabilistic methods, theory of information;
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, ability to work with them with real data, especially with text objects;
  • Knowledge of NLP/text mining algorithms;
  • Minimum BS Degree. MS is preferred. PhD is best.

GUI Developer
We are looking for talented GUI Developer who will join our Mobile Applications team in Richmond, BC to become an expert resource in interactive user interface technology.

  • Creating user interfaces for all News360 mobile applications;
  • Working closely together with the front-end developers on conceptualization, design, development, testing, release and maintenance of iOS, Android and web applications;
  • Participating in product planning and development;
  • Researching and tracking advancements in mobile applications design and development;
  • Following and understanding trends in the mobile and web industries.

  • 3+ years’ experience designing, wireframing and developing iOS, Android and web applications;
  • 3+ years’ experience building component based scalable and modular CSS;
  • 3+ years’ experience with design software: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Bohemian Coding Sketch, Quartz Compozer, Origami;
  • Strong understanding of WPF and JavaScript frameworks like Angular and Backbone;
  • Must have deep appreciation for clean, simple usable interfaces;

DevOps Engineer
Your job as an DevOps Engineer is to create and evolve projects together with our software developers – from choosing the right platforms, services and hardware, to monitoring, load testing and managing scalability.
An ideal candidate knows the importance of automating server configuration, timely backups and thorough monitoring, quickly responding to alerts, and paying close attention to load levels. He is able to understand each deployed project in detail, and to work together with the rest of the team to solve various issues.

  • Solid knowledge of TCP/IP stack and related software;
