"Rock the Slut Vote" site aims to fight for women's issues in November election
Susan McMillan Emry was inspired by Rush Limbaugh's comments slamming Sandra Fluke
Susan McMillan Emry is tired of the word "slut" being a slur.
The 56-year-old mother of two is the founder of "Rock The Slut Vote," a website aimed at reclaiming the derogatory term and registering women to vote in November.
Emry was inspired to start the site after Rush Limbaugh famously called law student Sandra Fluke a "slut" in February when she testified before Congress in support of birth control.
"It's really about taking the power away from that word more than it is about Rush Limbaugh," she told ABC News. "He gave the word the notoriety but we are trying to take it back."
