Lace, faux fur and velvet punctuate
Banana Republic's latest collection, inspired by
Leo Tolstoy's classic novel,
Anna Karenina, which has been the subject of a much-anticipated film adaptation.
To capture the feel of 19th century
Russia, the 76-piece range was created in collaboration with the film's costume designer,
Jacqueline Durran, who was responsible for dressing both
Keira Knightley and
Jude Law on set.
For women there will be feminine dresses, and military-inspired outerwear, while menswear will consist of old-world topcoats and suits in houndstooth, and flannel. Prices will range from $39.50 for a blouse to $325 for a coat, and $29.50 for for jewellery, to $250 for a handbag...
